Szymon Szczesniak [Poland]
Szymon Szczesniak born in 1975 in Poland, earned a bachelor degree of photography from the Institute of Creative Photography (ITF) in Opava, Czech Republic in 2004. He is mainly a commercial photographer working for the most remarkable titles on Polish magazine market.Focusing primarily on creative portraits of various celebrities, in his personal photographic research he is strongly inspired by the everyday life of ordinary people. In both, commercial and documentary work, he is affected by abstracts and surrealism of the surrounding world. Images, cut out of reality in a humoristic way, are alternative to the common documentary view. The images emphasized by using a medium format camera and specific colour range are classified by the author as "supported reality".
